Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has conveyed his displeasure to some district officers for the unnecessary delay in registering FIRs.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that on deliberate delay in E-tag of the application and FIR registration, concerned supervisory officers will be severely reprimanded. IG Punjab directed the DPOs of Mandi Bahauddin, Nankana and Khanewal to further improve their supervision and said that surprise checking and special branch reporting should be increased for the inspection of police stations and police offices.IG Punjab while instructing the RPOs, DPOs said that uninterrupted issuance of driving licenses should be ensured in all the districts of the province including Lahore. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the Punjab Information and Technology Board to make the licensing system more active and said that the burden on the system should be removed due to the tendency of the citizens to obtain driving licenses in record numbers. These instructions were issued by IG Punjab to the officers while presiding over the video link conference. All the RPOs, CPOs and DPOs of the province participated in the meeting through video link.
IG Punjab directed that the process of evacuation of illegal foreign nationals should be made fast. IGP Punjab said thay that legal action is being taken against those who accommodate and employ illegal foreigners. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that all the police stations should be transferred to the Special Initiative Police Station protocol by December 31. Additional IG Special Branch, Additional IG Punjab, Additional IG IAB, Additional IG Operations, DIG Operations Punjab, DIG Establishment, DIG Operations Lahore, AIG Investigation Punjab, Nankana, Mandi Bahauddin and Khanewal DPOs attended the meeting.
